Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryou Misaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teller comes to the cage accompanied by God's Gonna Cut You Down by Johnny Cash. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackson Teller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryou Misaki!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misaki swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Teller counters with a nice low kick that buckles Misaki's knee momentarily.

Misaki clinches up with Teller and pushes him back against the cage.

Misaki breaks from the clinch.
Teller looks to throw the jab but Misaki is out of range.
A combination from Teller does no damage.
Misaki shoots in but Teller avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Teller fails to land with a series of punches.
Teller throws a nice looking combination but Misaki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A combination from Teller does no damage.
Misaki misses with a head kick.

Misaki has Teller up against the cage in a clinch.
Misaki has Teller pressed against the cage, preventing Teller from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Teller tries a body shot but Misaki blocks it.
Misaki tries for a takedown. No joy.

Misaki lands with a right to the head.
Teller misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Teller fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Misaki breaks from the clinch.
Misaki is looking to clinch.
Teller connects with a good right hand that stumbles Misaki. Misaki circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Misaki throws a head kick that misses.
Teller pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Teller throws a lazy right hand but Misaki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Teller throws a right and a left that both miss.

Misaki scores with a takedown into Teller's guard.
Misaki throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Teller works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Teller controls Misaki momentarily but Misaki frees himself.

Misaki postures up.
Teller keeping moving, preventing Misaki from controlling successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Teller does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Teller lunges at Misaki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Misaki's hand.
Teller misses with a body punch

and Misaki holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Misaki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Teller smiles and moves away.
Jackson Teller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryou Misaki.
Misaki dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Teller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Teller misses with a double jab.
Misaki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Teller moves away.
Jackson Teller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Teller blocks a head kick by Misaki.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Misaki.
Teller misses the jab.
Misaki fails with the takedown
and Teller cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Teller just misses with a punch to the body.
Misaki shoots in and drives through. Teller sprawls well.
Teller misses with a few strikes there.

letting Misaki counter with a right hand.

Teller scores with a jab to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Misaki is defended easily by Teller.
Teller tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Misaki is able to avoid easily.
Teller ducks under a wild hook from Misaki.
Misaki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Misaki shoots in for a double leg but Teller sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

It looks like Ryou Misaki has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Teller lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Misaki tries for a takedown but Teller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Teller keeps the fight on the outside.

Misaki has managed to clinch.

Misaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Misaki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Misaki showed some decent athleticism there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jackson Teller will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Teller missing with a left hand there. Misaki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Misaki shoots for a takedown but Teller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Teller misses with a leg kick.
Teller tries to bum rush Misaki with a series of wild strikes but Misaki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Teller misses with an uppercut. Misaki saw that one coming.

Misaki drives through with a takedown into guard.
Teller wants to get back to his feet but Misaki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Teller has control of Misaki's left arm, preventing Misaki from doing any damage.
Teller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Teller on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Teller tries to get out of the position.

Teller can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Misaki controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jackson Teller.
Horrible takedown by Misaki or perhaps it was just good defense by Teller which made him look bad.
Jackson Teller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Teller lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Misaki counters with a shoot takedown. Teller fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Misaki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Ryou Misaki has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Misaki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Teller to the ground. Misaki is now in Teller's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Teller looks to throw the jab but Misaki is out of range.
Teller smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Misaki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ryou Misaki has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Misaki goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Teller rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Misaki's guard! Nice work there by Teller!
Misaki has Teller pulled in close to control his posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryou Misaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Teller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Teller throws a leg kick that is checked

and Misaki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Teller!

Teller tries to reverse the position but Misaki maintains control.

Misaki lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Misaki is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Teller can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Teller tries to hold on but Misaki pushes him away.
BOOM! Misaki connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Teller wants to control but Misaki is having none of it.

Teller is squirming around, avoiding Misaki's attempts to control the action.
Teller is bucking up trying to escape but Misaki cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Misaki stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Misaki dodges the punch combination from Teller.

Good standup being displayed there by Teller as he connects with a hook.
Misaki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Teller as he avoids it easily.

and Teller counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Teller misses the jab.
Teller just misses with a punch to the body.
Teller jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Misaki closes the distance and clinches.

Misaki has Teller pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Misaki pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Teller tumbling to the mat - Misaki dives into Teller's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryou Misaki was stalling too much, according to the referee.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Misaki stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Teller to get to his feet.

Ryou Misaki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Misaki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
