Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by whatsername, and does she remember my name?. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir tries to clinch but Doe moves out of range.
Doe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mir.
Doe stuffs the takedown.
Mir shoots in for a takedown but Doe shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mir doesn't manage to clinch there - Doe circles away.
Mir tries for a takedown but Doe circles away easily
and Doe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.

and Doe counters with a slapping leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mir takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Mir has his takedown stuffed
and Doe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mir takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Doe counters with a body kick that stops Mir in his tracks momentarily.
Mir is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Doe cracks Mir with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mir gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Doe counters with a stiff right hand.
Mir darts in trying to clinch
and Doe counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Mir goes down! Will Mir beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action!

Mir with a poor takedown
and Doe counters with an inside leg kick.
Doe lunges at Mir with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mir's hand.
Mir tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Doe counters with a left to the body.
Doe connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Doe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mir on the side of the head.
Mir doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Doe lands a big right hand that sends Mir crashing to the mat! Doe stays standing though and waves Mir back to his feet!
Mir is rocked!
Mir takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Doe lands with an uppercut that bounces Mir off the cage and back into range.
Oh Mir is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mir gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Doe gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Doe!
