The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans moves away from the strike by Holt.
Holt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Evans.
Evans lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

It looks like Manny Holt has been cut.

Holt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Evans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Holt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Holt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Holt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Oh but Evans is tightening it up a little... Holt has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Holt reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Holt taps out! Nice BJJ there by Evans!
