Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes into a darkened arena with his song building. This Calling kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fedor Silva!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Austin Lee!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.

Lee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Silva is trying to control Lee's posture but Lee avoids it.
Silva is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Lee is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Lee goes for an armbar but Silva turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Silva.
Lee wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lee has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lee.
Lee is looking for a sweep.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Lee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lee looks gassed!

Silva lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lee at a distance.
Lee throws a head kick that misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Lee looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.
Fedor Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Lee.
Lee looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.

Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Lee counters with a takedown into side control.
Silva manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Lee is controlling an arm, preventing Silva from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee is trying to reverse the position but instead Silva has taken his back - oops!

Lee has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Silva.
Silva has the hooks in. Lee is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Lee has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Lee rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Fedor Silva will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silva shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Silva connects with a solid leg kick.
Silva cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fedor Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silva throws a half hearted mid kick.
Silva lands with a kick to the temple. Lee shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva throws a leg kick but Lee checks it.

Lee fails to land the takedown.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Lee on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Silva. Silva obviously looking to wear him down.

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Lee fights it but they end up in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lee is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Silva! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Lee has tapped! This one is allllll over!
