Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Whitepride Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Alighieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alighieri has chosen Mosquito Song by Queens Of The Stone Age as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Alighieri.
Alighieri takes a swing at Velasquez's ribcage but misses.
Velasquez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Alighieri looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Alighieri ducks right into an uppercut from Velasquez.
Horrible takedown by Velasquez or perhaps it was just good defense by Alighieri which made him look bad.
Velasquez walks into a jab.

It looks like Whitepride Velasquez has been cut.

Alighieri lands a big right hand that sends Velasquez crashing to the mat! Alighieri stays standing though and waves Velasquez back to his feet!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Alighieri throws out a loose jab but Velasquez uses good head movement to avoid it.

Velasquez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alighieri pinned against the cage. Alighieri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Velasquez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alighieri's waist but Alighieri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velasquez off to one side.
Tristan Alighieri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Velasquez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Whitepride Velasquez's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Alighieri throws a shot from downtown. Velasquez moves away and avoids it.
Alighieri lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Velasquez goes down and covers up as Alighieri starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
