The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucania tries to clinch up.
Recto looking to score a takedown here. Lucania is defending well but Recto drives through and ends up in Lucania's guard.
Recto could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

and Lucania counters with a nice low kick that buckles Recto's knee momentarily.
Recto is breathing heavily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lucania.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lucania tries to clinch up but Recto circles away and keeps his distance.

Recto misses with a takedown attempt - Lucania sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lucania lands a big head kick that sends Recto tumbling to the mat! Lucania takes a step backwards and waves Recto back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Salvatore Lucania bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
