These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blachowicz just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones tries to clinch but Blachowicz is having none of it.

Blachowicz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jones has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jones and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones drops back looking for a leg! Blachowicz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Blachowicz manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Blachowicz's guard.
