Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Hogin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, real american. Jones has chosen Who Dat by Young Jeezy as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 46 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hulk Hogin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Curtis Jones!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogin misses with a left hand
and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jones with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jones chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hogin is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hogin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Hogin throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily.
Hogin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Hogin.
Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Hogin off balance momentarily.
Good exchange - Jones coming out on top.
Hogin looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Hogin takes one to the chin there.
Hogin throws a head kick that misses.

Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hogin to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jones has his hands on Hogin's head, controlling the position.

Jones looking to control.
Jones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hogin!
Jones wants to control the pace but Hogin is squirming around nicely.
Hogin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hogin is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.

Hogin manages to reverse the position and now he's in Jones's guard. Nice work there by Hogin.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hogin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hogin throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely.

Hogin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!

Hogin is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.
Jones blocks the strikes from Hogin.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jones misses with the ground and pound.
Hogin tries to improve position but can't.
Hogin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Hogin tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
Hogin tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Hogin is trying to get back to full guard.
Hogin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jones trying to control the action but Hogin is working from the bottom.
Hogin is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Jones wants to take Hogin's back but he can't do it this time.
Hogin throws a strike from the bottom but Jones uses the opportunity to take his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones working for a choke but Hogin is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hogin defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Jones has the hooks in. Hogin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Curtis Jones dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jones slips under a jab.
Hogin misses with an uppercut.
Curtis Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hogin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hogin scrambles back to his feet.
Jones avoids the body shot from Hogin.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hogin.
Hogin shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hulk Hogin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones lands a slapping body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones digs a good body shot into Hogin's ribs.
Hogin walks into a jab.


It looks like Hulk Hogin has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jones is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Jones takes the fight into the clinch.
Jones controlling the action here for a moment.
Jones scores with a hook to the body.

Jones breaks the clinch.
Jones works the jab nicely.
Hogin takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Jones scores with a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jones cracks Hogin with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jones has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hogin to stand back up!


Hogin is rocked!
Hogin walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Jones! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Curtis Jones!
In his post fight interview, Curtis Jones started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
