Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ari Birmiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Downs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Birmiski's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I'm Back - T.I. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birmiski misses with a looping left.
Birmiski forces Downs back against the cage and clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A frustrated look appears on Downs's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Downs changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Birmiski fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Downs misses with a takedown attempt - Birmiski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Birmiski throws a shot from downtown. Downs moves away and avoids it.
Downs closes the distance and clinches up with Birmiski, looking for a takedown. Downs pushes Birmiski against the cage but Birmiski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Downs looks to score with a jab to the body but Birmiski is just out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Birmiski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Downs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Birmiski has managed to get both his arms back between Downs's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Ari Birmiski will probably get the nod.

Downs is not content to let Birmiski control the position.
Birmiski is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Downs is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Birmiski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Downs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Birmiski!

Birmiski is looking to improve his position but Downs isn't that keen on the idea.

Downs can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Birmiski is looking to escape.

Downs goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Birmiski is on top in guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Birmiski cracks Downs with a solid left hand.
Downs throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Birmiski escapes and throws Downs's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Birmiski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Downs manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Downs is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Birmiski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Downs.

Downs is taking a breather. Birmiski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Downs is looking for a kimura but Birmiski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Downs to get the leverage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Birmiski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Oh but Birmiski is tightening it up a little... Downs has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Downs reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Downs taps out! Nice BJJ there by Birmiski!

After winning the bout, Ari Birmiski thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
