Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ribeiro Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). House has chosen Sleezy D - I've Lost Control as his entrance music. Nick House is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie looks for a takedown but House sprawls well.
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown

and House counters with a shoot takedown. Gracie fights it but they end up in guard.
House throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely.
House trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie is looking for a triangle but House pushes his legs off easily.

House is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gracie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. House stacks Gracie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by House!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
House in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
House misses with the ground and pound.
Gracie tries to bench press House off him but House keeps the position.
Gracie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

House seems to be looking for submissions.

House cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
House doesn't have the hooks in and Gracie manages to turn into his guard.
House is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! House is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! House has escaped and now he's on top!
House wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

House decides to stand back up. House steps back and let's Gracie get back to his feet.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ribeiro Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by House.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
House shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gracie as he jumps to the side.
Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but House sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick House dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Gracie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
House shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. House looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gracie prevents House from escaping the position.
House manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
House trying to control but Gracie postures up.

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

House works his way to full guard. Good work.
House keeping full guard, as Gracie tries to pass.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. House swivels though and keeps the full guard.

House manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gracie manages to get himself to full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

This one could be over very soon! House goes limp - he's gone! Gracie jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
