PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Busy Signal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Signal comes into the arena with Busy Signal - Smoke Some High Grade blaring out of the sound system. Dexter Morgan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Signal has his takedown stuffed
and Morgan counters with a two punch combo.
Signal shoots in for a takedown but Morgan shows good takedown defense.
Signal shoots and misses
and Morgan counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Busy Signal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Morgan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Signal moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Morgan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Signal's guard.

Signal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Signal is pulling down on Morgan's head to control his posture.

Morgan is looking to stand up but Signal won't let him.
Morgan throwing strikes but missing.
Signal controls Morgan momentarily but Morgan frees himself.
Signal manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Signal trying to control but Morgan is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morgan can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee warns Morgan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Signal throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Signal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Signal trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Signal working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Signal scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Morgan?

Morgan wants to control but Signal is having none of it.
Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Signal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Signal is working for a guillotine from mount but Morgan frees his head quite easily.
Signal is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Signal lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Signal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Signal throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Morgan because Signal loaded up on that one.
Morgan is trying to reverse the position but instead Signal has taken his back - oops!

Signal is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Morgan. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Morgan is rocked!
Signal scoring with big shots to the body. Morgan is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Morgan was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.
