Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roderick Edwards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danilo Definski!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Edwards. No joy for Definski on that attempt.
Definski scores with a one two! Edwards had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Edwards stuffs the takedown attempt from Definski. Definski gets slowly back to his feet.

Edwards gets the takedown into side control.
Definski can't do much from the bottom here.
Definski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Edwards wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Definski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Definski is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Edwards scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Definski to see if he's OK.
Edwards wants to control but Definski is keeping him busy.
Definski stops Edwards from passing to mount.
Edwards blocks the strikes from Definski.

Definski manages to work his way to half guard, despite Edwards's best efforts.

Edwards seems to be looking for submissions.

Definski tries to lock up and control but Edwards gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Definski is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Edwards can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Definski is looking to escape.

Edwards blocks Definski's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Definski is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Definski tries to improve his position but instead Edwards has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edwards lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Definski manages to reverse the position and now he's in Edwards's guard. Nice work there by Definski.

Definski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Definski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Edwards is keeping the position for now.
Edwards controls Definski momentarily but Definski frees himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Definski wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving.

Definski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Edwards is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Definski, into his guard.

Edwards trying to control the position from guard on top but Definski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Edwards stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Definski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Roderick Edwards dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Definski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Edwards counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Definski looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Edwards trying to control but Definski is working from the bottom.
Edwards tries to free his leg and advance position but Definski is retaining full guard.
Edwards is pushing down on Definski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Definski is fighting to maintain full guard but Edwards has managed to sneak the leg through.
Definski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Definski misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Edwards seems to be looking for submissions.
Definski tries to roll over but Edwards keeps him under control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Edwards connects with a nice short shot to Definski's temple.

Edwards seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Definski is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
