The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornell works over Nogueira's head and body with a nice combination.
Nogueira should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Nogueira throws a combination that misses

so Cornell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Cornell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cornell passes Nogueira's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Cornell winds up and cracks Nogueira with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nogueira looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nogueira wants to improve his position but Cornell is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Rodrigo Nogueira has been cut.
Cornell softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Nogueira is out cold! Cornell jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
