The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Troid looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Speer scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Speer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Troid slips a straight right by Speer.
Troid walks into a left hand.
Troid tries to clinch up.
Troid shoots in looking for a takedown but Speer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Troid's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Troid misses with a series of wild punches.
Troid moves away from the strike by Speer.
Speer leaves Troid with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Heinrich Speer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Troid.
Troid shoots in for a takedown but Speer shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Speer slaps away a takedown attempt from Troid, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Troid misses with a takedown
and Speer counters with a stiff right hand.
Speer sends Troid crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Speer is motioning to the referee to let Troid up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Brett Troid has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Speer pounces like a tiger and cracks Troid with a vicious hook! Troid is down but not out! Speer follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
