Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matteo Minonzio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piter Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minonzio comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica Enter Sandman. Piter Xxx has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Matteo Minonzio's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Xxx gets tackled into the cage by Minonzio. Minonzio maintains the clinch.
Xxx goes for a takedown attempt but Minonzio pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Xxx throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Minonzio was covering up waiting for the punch and Xxx finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Xxx tries to free his leg and advance position but Minonzio is retaining full guard.

Xxx is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Xxx connects with a nice short shot to Minonzio's temple.

Xxx stands up over Minonzio, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Xxx has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Minonzio avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Xxx manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Minonzio wants to get up but he can't break Xxx's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Minonzio stands and steps away. Xxx gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Xxx tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Minonzio was well out of range. Poor timing from Xxx.

Minonzio takes the fight into the clinch.

Xxx has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Minonzio clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Xxx lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Xxx is cranking Minonzio's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Minonzio! He's tightened the choke and Minonzio is tapping out!

Piter Xxx gave a mention to Steel Penn's Laundry 93% in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
