Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valfar Windir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Windir rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rua moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Rua looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rua should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Windir not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rua stopping the sweep attempt from Windir.

Windir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rua doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rua manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rua not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Thiago Rua wasn't active enough on the ground.
Rua throws a sloppy head kick and Windir moves out of range easily.
Rua checks a leg kick.
Rua throws the kick towards the body but Windir avoids it.

Rua scores a takedown into full mount!
Rua takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Windir is desperately trying to improve his position but Rua has a good base and remains in mount.
Rua looking to control and managing it successfully.

Windir manages to regain half guard. Good work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Windir is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Thiago Rua was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Rua closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Windir's guard.

Windir tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Windir looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rua is defending well. Windir quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rua has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Windir celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
