Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paddy Cheechoo!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson tries to bum rush Cheechoo with a series of wild strikes but Cheechoo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cheechoo scores with a takedown into Tyson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cheechoo advances position into side control!
Cheechoo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cheechoo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working.
Tyson is letting Cheechoo control him for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cheechoo lands an elbow.
Cheechoo is trying to ground and pound but Tyson uses the momentary lack of control by Cheechoo to regain half guard.
Cheechoo stands up and beckons Tyson to join him on the feet.
Cheechoo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tyson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cheechoo.
Cheechoo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tyson circles away.
Tyson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tyson fails with the takedown
and Cheechoo counters by moving into the clinch.
Tyson is breathing heavily.
Tyson prevents Cheechoo from breaking the clinch.
Cheechoo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cheechoo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tyson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Mike Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paddy Cheechoo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tyson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cheechoo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tyson.
Tyson wants to get back to his feet.

Cheechoo keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cheechoo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Tyson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cheechoo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tyson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cheechoo pulls down on the head and he's put Tyson to sleep! This one is all over!
