Punch comes to the cage accompanied by Prodigy - Hot Ride . Silva has chosen Aint no sunshine - DMX as his entrance music. Anderson Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Punch shoots in.
Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing.
Silva has a takedown stuffed.
Punch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Punch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.
Silva tries for a takedown but Punch circles away easily
enabling Punch to counter with a crisp jab.
Silva throws a series of punches but Punch moves out of range.
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Punch.
Silva darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Punch sprawls well. Punch wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Fast Punch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Silva.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Punch prevents Silva from breaking the clinch.
Silva tries to break the clinch but Punch is controlling the position.

Silva is trying to force a seperation but Punch has the dominant position.
Punch has Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Silva takes a shot right to the bread basket.

and Silva counters with a left and a right that stings Punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Punch.
Punch takes one on the chin but seems OK.
No joy there for Punch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva lands with a cross.
Silva throws a jab when Punch was well out of range.
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Anderson Silva has been cut.

Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Silva shoots in but no luck this time.

Punch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Punch persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Punch seems content to control.
Punch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fast Punch has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Silva moves forwards but Punch connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Silva is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Punch tries to work over Silva's front leg with a kick but Silva checks it.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Punch finish him?
Punch plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Silva to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Silva just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
