The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Rodrigo Martinez has been cut.
Santos throws out a loose jab but Martinez uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Martinez. Santos shrugs it off though.
Santos throws a hook to the side of Martinez's head but Martinez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Martinez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Martinez blocks a jab.
Martinez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Santos throws a hook but Martinez avoids it easily.
Santos throws a lazy right hand but Martinez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Santos throws an overhand right that lands on Martinez's shoulder, as Martinez tries to avoid the shot.

Ricardo Oliveria Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martinez ducks under a wild hook from Santos.

Santos drops Martinez with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Martinez looks back up at him and smiles so Santos waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Santos might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Santos throws the left hand but Martinez avoids the punch easily.
Santos cracks Martinez with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Martinez falls to his knees and Santos doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
