Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Couture might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Killing Fields by Metallica. Gracie has chosen Pride theme song by POD as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Royce Gracie will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Couture.
Randy Couture has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Gracie.
Gracie walks into a jab.
Couture leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Couture wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Couture defends it nicely.

Couture closes the distance and pushes Gracie back into the ropes.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Couture walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Couture scores with a body shot.

Couture tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it.

Couture moves into the clinch.
Couture lands a body shot.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Couture holds him up against the ropes and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.
Couture lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.
Couture lands a body punch in the clinch.
Gracie is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Couture to keep the fight standing.
Couture throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gracies head.
Gracie looks gassed!

Couture lands a shoulder strike.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Couture holds him up against the ropes and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.

A short uppercut from Couture.
Gracie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Couture lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Couture throws a big uppercut that drops Gracie! More strikes from Couture and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gracie lies dazed against the ropes as Couture celebrates with his cornermen!
