The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malachi checks a leg kick.
Malachi throws a body punch but Evans moves out of range.
Evans scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Malachi tries to close the distance and clinch but Evans swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Malachi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Evans is looking for a sweep. Malachi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Evans gets back to full guard.
Evans looking to hit a scissor sweep but Malachi is one step ahead there.

Malachi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Malachi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
