Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Babcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Professor Chaos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Bruce Babcock has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Babcock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Professor Chaos !
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaos lands a nice leg kick that just misses Babcock's sensitive parts.
Chaos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Babcock counters with a right hand to the body.

Babcock gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Chaos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Babcock working for a triangle but Chaos defends it easily.
Chaos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Babcock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chaos is one step ahead there.

Babcock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chaos moves away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Horrible takedown by Chaos or perhaps it was just good defense by Babcock which made him look bad.
Bruce Babcock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Professor Chaos .

and Chaos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Babcock!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's time! Babcock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
