The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a sloppy head kick and Vercetti moves out of range easily.
Evans dips to his left and cracks Vercetti with an uppercut!
Evans slips a jab and a cross from Vercetti.

Evans tries to keep at a distance but Vercetti has taken the fight into the clinch.
Evans wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vercetti has him pressed against the cage.
Vercetti wants to break the clinch but can't.
Evans is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Vercetti is defending well.
Vercetti managing to block the knees to the body from Evans.
Vercetti is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Evans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vercetti misses with a few strikes there.
Vercetti is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vercetti clobbers Evans with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Evans throws a head kick that misses.
Vercetti ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A combination from Evans does no damage.
Evans with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Evans misses with a lunging right hand
and Vercetti counters with a nice body shot.
Vercetti is looking to clinch but Evans is avoiding it.
Evans keeps the fight on the outside.
Vercetti feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Evanss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Evans attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Vercetti changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Evans tries a head kick but it misses.
Evans throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vercetti tries to close the distance and clinch but Evans swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A jab from Vercetti does it's job there.

Vercetti takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Vercetti!
Vercetti lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively.
Vercetti takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Vercetti has managed to clinch.
Evans prevents Vercetti from breaking the clinch.

Vercetti's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vercetti moves out of range of the body kick.
Vercetti looks to land a combination. Evans sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Vercetti stalks Evans and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Evans's face. Evans staggers backwards, shaken.
Evans throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vercetti counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Evans takes one on the button.
Vercetti scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vercetti misses with a two punch combination.
Vercetti lands a nice shot that snaps Evans's head back.
Vercetti is looking to clinch.

Vercetti scores with a jab.
Vercetti tries to close the distance and clinch up but Evans swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Evans misses with a left hand
and Vercetti counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vercetti tries to clinch up but Evans circles away and keeps his distance.
Evans lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vercetti circles away quickly and effectively.
Evans keeps the fight on the outside.
Vercetti lands a two punch combo.
Vercetti scores with a one two! Evans had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Vercetti is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Evans had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Evans lands with a nice combination. Vercetti backs away looking to recover.

Vercetti connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Evans's hands.
Vercetti lands with a nice body punch.
Evans circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Vercetti drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Evans follows Vercetti to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Malcolm Evans really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that 5th Round Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
