Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baz Karamba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baz Karamba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Kim!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Karamba.

Karamba looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Karamba is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kim is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kim should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kim can't do much from the bottom here.
Karamba will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Karamba wants to control but Kim is keeping him busy.
Kim tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Karamba trying to control the action but Kim is working from the bottom.
Kim struggling a bit here.
Kim is not content to let Karamba control the position.

Kim is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Karamba is working for a kimura but Kim is defending it quite comfortably.
Karamba not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Karamba is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Karamba tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kim knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Karamba lands strikes from half guard.
Karamba scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Kim is looking to improve his position.

Karamba is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Kim as he works his way to full guard.
Karamba sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kim's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ground and pound from Karamba.

Karamba decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Karamba tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kim is able to avoid easily.
Kim tries to move into range but Karamba moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kim blocks the body kick.
Karamba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kim fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Karamba sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kim somewhat.
Baz Karamba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kim takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A head kick from Karamba lands but Kim takes it in his stride.
Kim takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Karamba clinches with his opponent.
Karamba is pushing Kim up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Kim avoids the elbow strike from Karamba, against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Karamba's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Karamba has closed the distance and engaged Kim in a clinch.
Karamba is trying to maintain a safe position but Kim gets an underhook and turns Karamba into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Karamba turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Kim is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Karamba off and has taken his back!
Kim scores with punches from the back.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Karamba rolls, trying to escape but Kim keeps control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baz Karamba dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kim closes the distance and clinches up with Karamba, looking for a takedown. Kim pushes Karamba against the cage but Karamba circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Karamba is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kim is defending well for now.
Kim is looking to take this one to the mat.
Karamba tries a knee to the head but Kim blocks it.

Karamba works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Karamba stands up over Kim, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kim is looking to sinch up a triangle. Karamba throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kim's body to avoid the submission. Kim has instead reached around Karamba's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kim arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Nick Kim!
