Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Salmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Harris might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kiss Me I'm Shit Faced. Marshall Harris could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Red Salmon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshall Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Red Salmon!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Harris shoots in and gets a takedown into Salmon's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Harris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Harris throws a big elbow that misses.
Harris postures up in Salmon's guard and throws a big left but Salmon blocks it.
Harris is looking to work some ground and pound but Salmon has wrist control.

Salmon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harris is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Red Salmon was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Harris throws a shot from downtown. Salmon moves away and avoids it.
Harris throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Salmon's head.

Harris darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Salmon tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Harris manages to move to mount!

Salmon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Poor strikes thrown by Harris there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Salmon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Salmon's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Salmon tries to clinch but Harris is having none of it.

Salmon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Harris throws a big elbow that misses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Salmon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Salmon wants to get back to his feet but Harris is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Salmon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Salmon wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Harris manages to pass to side control.
Harris throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Salmon looks like he's trying to stand up.

Salmon wants to clinch up but Harris keeps it at a distance.

Harris closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Salmon did well to prevent Harris getting side control.

Harris misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
