Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Scull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Carnitine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carnitine has chosen Doro Pesch and Udo Dirkschneider covering Breaking the Law as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scull is looking to clinch.

Carnitine closes the distance and clinches.
Scull misses with a knee strike.
Scull gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Scull landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Carnitine on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Carnitine blocks an elbow strike.
Carnitine tries for a takedown. No joy.

Carnitine breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
An inside leg kick lands from Scull.
Carnitine dives in and grabs Scull's left leg, looking for a takedown. Scull pushes down on Carnitine's head and hops out.

Carnitine forces Scull back against the cage and clinches.
Scull tries to land knees in the clinch but Carnitine avoids the damage to the body.

Carnitine has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Scull.
Carnitine tries to bum rush Scull with a series of wild strikes but Scull uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Carnitine tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Scull smiles and moves away.

Carnitine manages to break the clinch.
Carnitine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Scull tries to avoid it but Carnitine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Scull to the ground. Scull escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Scull gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Scull creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Carnitine's defenses.

Scull throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carnitine blocks it with crossed arms.
Carnitine has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Scull is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Scull looks to throw an elbow but misses.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Carnitine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scull gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Carnitine wants to control the position but Scull says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Carnitine is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Carnitine gets back to full guard.

Carnitine throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Scull escapes and throws Carnitine's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Scull has control of an arm but Carnitine manages to advance to Scull's back!

Carnitine has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Scull has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Carnitine tries to keep control of the position but Scull is staying busy.

Carnitine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scull gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Carnitine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Scull tries to stand but Carnitine is controlling from the bottom.
Scull is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Carnitine is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Scull is aware though and is defending well.

Carnitine wants to control the pace but Scull is squirming around nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
