The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hannant shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tyson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hannant remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ben Hannant hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hannant leaves Tyson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tyson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hannant is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Tyson to the mat. Tyson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Hannant has hold of Tyson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tyson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hannant manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tyson on his heels. He'll look to pass Tyson's guard now, I'm sure.

Hannant throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tyson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hannant is in Tyson's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
