Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dane Grebisz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Santos!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grebisz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Grebisz controlling the pace for now.
Santos is trying desperately to improve position.
Santos prevents Grebisz from taking his back.
Santos is desperately trying to improve his position but Grebisz has a good base and remains in mount.
Santos tries to hold on but Grebisz pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Grebisz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Grebisz prevents Santos from getting the reversal.

Santos is looking to get to half guard.
Santos wants to control but Grebisz is having none of it.
Grebisz controlling the pace for now.
Santos is desperately trying to improve his position but Grebisz has a good base and remains in mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Grebisz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Santos can do anything to dispel that myth.
Santos is trying desperately to improve position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Santos tries to lock up and control but Grebisz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dane Grebisz dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Grebisz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Santos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Grebisz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Santos is breathing heavily.

Santos is looking to reverse the position.
Santos isn't going anywhere.
Santos is looking for a sweep.
Grebisz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
You can see the frustration on Santos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Santos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Grebisz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Grebisz feints and as Santos raises his hands in defense, Grebisz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Santos wants to sweep here but Grebisz controlling him for the moment.
Grebisz showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Santos is trying to keep Grebisz in close.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Grebisz stopping the sweep attempt from Santos.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Grebisz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dane Grebisz dominated that second round.
That's time! Grebisz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Grebisz shoots for a takedown but Santos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Grebisz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Santos swivels and escapes.
Grebisz shoots in for a double leg but Santos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dane Grebisz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Santos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grebisz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Santos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Grebisz's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Santos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grebisz's guard.
Santos throwing shots but Grebisz is blocking nicely.
Grebisz trying to hold on to Santos's head to control him but Santos postures up.
Santos thows a huge punch but Grebisz dodges it nicely.
Santos seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Santos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Santos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Grebisz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Santos content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Despite being in the dominant position, Pedro Santos just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No luck for Grebisz with that takedown attempt.
Pedro Santos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Grebisz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Santos as he avoids it easily.

Pedro Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Grebisz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
