PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axl Horn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horn has chosen Bill Murray - by Sweatshop Union as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kyle Reese is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Reese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Axl Horn!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Reese. Horn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reese changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Reese shoots in looking for a takedown but Horn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reese's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Horn ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Horn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reese shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Horn pinned against the cage. Horn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horn has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Reese.
Reese lands a jab to Horn's midsection.
Reese avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horn waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Reese.

and Reese counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Horn trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Horn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Reese is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Horn.

Horn is trying to control Reese's posture but Reese avoids it.
Reese with the ground and pound but Horn regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Reese throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Horn wants to improve his position but Reese is controlling well.
Reese thows a huge punch but Horn dodges it nicely.
Horn won't allow Reese to pass to mount.

Horn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Reese with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Axl Horn has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reese is working Horn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Horn will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Horn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Reese in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Reese has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Horn is rocked!
Reese arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Horn's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
