Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruiser Halperin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halperin comes to the cage accompanied by Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Bruiser Halperin had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halperin misses with a head kick.
Halperin tries a head kick but it misses.
Halperin wants to land a leg kick but Knight is out of range.
Knight looks for a takedown but Halperin sprawls well.
Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up but Halperin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Knight takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Knight looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Knight avoids the head kick by Halperin.
Halperin throws a push kick but Knight slaps the foot to one side.
Halperin throws a hook but Knight blocks it.
Halperin misses with a two punch combination.
Halperin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Halperin lands a head kick. Knight smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Halperin throws a right hand that Knight ducks under and follows up with a left that Knight also avoids with ease.
Knight misses with a takedown attempt - Halperin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Knight throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Halperin's waist but Halperin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knight off to one side.
A nice leg kick lands there from Halperin.
Halperin throws a series of punches but Knight moves out of range.
Knight is trying desperately to land a takedown but Halperin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Knight.

Knight walks into a left hand.
Halperin misses with a double jab
and Knight counters with a three punch combo that has Halperin backing up. Halperin nods at Knight to acknowledge the strikes.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No joy there for Halperin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nice combo by Halperin! Oh, that's hurt him - Knight falls to the canvas and Halperin follows him into side control.
Knight is rocked!
Halperin decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Knight is still on wobbly legs! Can Halperin finish him?
Halperin scores with a kick to the midsection.
Knight seems to have recovered his senses.
Halperin throws a nice looking combination but Knight bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Halperin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Knight fails to land the takedown.
A chopping leg kick lands by Halperin.
Halperin throws a half hearted mid kick.
Knight shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Knight throws a sloppy head kick and Halperin moves out of range easily.

That has opened up Eric Knight's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Knight counters with a nice double leg into side control. Halperin won't be happy with that.
Halperin is not content to let Knight control the position.
Halperin is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Halperin wants to get back to his feet but Knight is dominant here and he's now got Halperin's back!
Halperin squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Knight lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Halperin wants to try and get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Knight lands a big shot there that rocks Halperin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Halperin somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Knight shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Halperin but Halperin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruiser Halperin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Eric Knight's cut.
That's time! Halperin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Halperin.
Halperin throws a leg kick but Knight checks it.
Halperin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Halperin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Knight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Halperin tries to avoid it but Knight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Halperin to the ground. Halperin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
