Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Greg Dengel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Topps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dengel comes to the cage accompanied by Angel of Death. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ian Topps!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Topps changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dengel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Topps decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Topps jabs at Dengel's body.

Topps feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dengel is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Dengel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Topps is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dengel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Topps's back instead.

Topps is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Dengel gets his way!
Topps manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dengel's guard. Nice work there by Topps.

Topps gets to his feet. Dengel looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Topps has Dengel up against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dengel lands an elbow just above Topps 's eye.

Dengel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Topps is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dengel has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Topps avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Dengel avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Topps.

Dengel is tying to control. Topps wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Topps is looking to stand up but Dengel isn't so interested in that idea.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dengel drives through with a takedown into guard.
Topps wants to stand up but Dengel is controlling him.
Dengel stands and throws Topps's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dengel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Topps keeps working.

Dengel decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Topps catches Dengel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Topps lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
No luck for Dengel with that takedown attempt.
A nice combination there by Topps.
Dengel looks for a takedown but Topps sprawls well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Topps is looking to clinch.
Topps shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dengel but Dengel pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dengel misses with a takedown attempt - Topps sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Dengel has picked Topps up - he's going for a ride! Dengel dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Dengel is stalling here. Topps is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dengel seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Topps has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Dengel has left one of his arms exposed and Topps doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Dengel screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
