Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave The Don!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daren Coulter!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Don clinches with his opponent.
Coulter looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The Don wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Coulter has him pressed against the cage.
Coulter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite The Don's efforts to push away.
Coulter stalls.
The Don has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Coulter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Coulter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. The Don did well to prevent Coulter getting side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Coulter drops back, looking for a kneebar! The Don looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. The Don looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from The Don!

The Don wants to stand but Coulter is controlling his arm.

The Don has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Daren Coulter will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


The Don lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coulter circles away quickly and effectively.
The Don throws a right and a left that Coulter avoids nicely.
Coulter has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by The Don.

Coulter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Coulter lands in his opponent's guard.

Coulter drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but The Don manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Coulter has The Don in his guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Daren Coulter was stalling too much, according to the referee.

The Don looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The Don throws a nice looking combination but Coulter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Coulter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The Don tries to close the distance and clinch but Coulter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dave The Don is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Coulter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Coulter is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Coulter is going oldschool here, as he tries to force The Don to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so The Don shrugs it off.

Coulter working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. The Don turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Coulter off and cradles The Don's limp body as Coulter celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Daren Coulter!
