The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nomurokai avoids it really well and circles away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Nomurokai.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Nomurokai is just out of range.
Johnson throws a front kick aimed at Nomurokai's knee but Nomurokai avoids it well.
Nomurokai uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson.
Chad Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nomurokai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johnson.

Nomurokai closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Nomurokai getting side control.

Nomurokai is trying to get an arm triangle but Johnson is defending well.
Nomurokai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Nomurokai throws an elbow but Johnson slips to the side and avoids it well.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nomurokai on the ground.
Nomurokai sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Johnson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Nomurokai tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nomurokai has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nomurokai is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nomurokai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Nomurokai working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Nomurokai tries to advance to mount but can't.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nomurokai is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Johnson is looking to reverse the position.
Johnson prevents Nomurokai from improving position.
Johnson tries to buck Nomurokai off but Nomurokai is having none of it.
Nomurokai remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Nomurokai has hold of Johnson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Johnson seems comfortable defending it but Nomurokai has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Johnson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Johnson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Nomurokai couldn't care less - he's delighted!
