Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gunmetal Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grey comes to the cage accompanied by Killed By Death. Stevenson has chosen Higher Ground - Red Hot Chili Peppers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stevenson enables Grey to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stevenson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Stevenson kicks Grey off and gets to his feet.
Grey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stevenson circles away quickly and effectively.

Stevenson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Grey did well to prevent Stevenson getting side control.

Grey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stevenson is trying to defend but Grey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Stevenson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Grey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Grey stuffs the takedown attempt from Stevenson. Stevenson gets slowly back to his feet.
Gunmetal Grey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Stevenson.
Grey fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Grey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stevenson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stevenson tries to escape but Grey is in control.

Stevenson sneaks out the side door and pushes Grey away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Stevenson pushes Grey off looking to stand but Grey dives back in and keeps control.

Grey is pressing down on Stevenson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stevenson is holding on for now.
Grey stalling away here and it's allowed Stevenson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Stevenson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Grey is looking to sinch up a triangle. Stevenson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Grey's body to avoid the submission. Grey has instead reached around Stevenson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Grey arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
