The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Wilson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Slade Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hogan moves into the clinch successfully.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Wilson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hogan's brow.
Wilson tries to work over Hogan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Hogan misses with a punch on the inside.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hogan rushes Wilson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hogan is trying to trip Wilson. He has hold of a leg but Wilson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hogan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Hogan throws an elbow that misses. Wilson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hogan's guard. Nice move by Wilson!
Wilson postures up in Hogan's guard and throws a big left but Hogan blocks it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wilson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hogan is squirming around, avoiding Wilson's attempts to control the action.

Wilson is landing with some decent strikes but Hogan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wilson controls Hogan momentarily but Hogan frees himself.
Wilson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hogan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
