The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saito throws a lazy uppercut
and Mixins counters with a series of strikes. Saito will be more careful next time no doubt.

Saito manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mixins manages to get himself to full guard.

Saito is thwarting Mixins's attempts to control the position.
Mixins wants to improve his position but Saito is controlling well.
Saito looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mixins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Saito lands a nice short elbow.

Mixins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Saito is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Saito is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mixins is just riding it out for now. Saito eventually gives up the hold.
Mixins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Saito. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Saito frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Saito has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mixins's face.

Saito scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Saito postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Mixins badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Saito around the waist but Saito pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Saito is the winner by TKO! Saito jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Iwao Saito!
Iwao Saito decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
