The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukkonen pushes Hughes up against the cage in a clinch.
Saukkonen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Saukkonen is working Hughes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Saukkonen tries to free his leg and advance position but Hughes is retaining full guard.
Hughes looking to control but Saukkonen passes into half guard.
Saukkonen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

BOOM! Saukkonen connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Saukkonen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Saukkonen is landing with some decent strikes but Hughes is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Leeroy Hughes's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Roland Saukkonen really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that QFClothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
