The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Gaule throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
de Costa doesn't manage to clinch there - de Gaule circles away.
de Gaule closes the distance and clinches up with de Costa, looking for a takedown. de Gaule pushes de Costa against the cage but de Costa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

de Gaule connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused de Costa some visible discomfort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

de Costa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with de Gaule. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

de Gaule had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. de Costa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. de Gaule Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take de Costa's back instead.

de Gaule has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. de Costa is defending well but eventually de Gaule manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! de Costa has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
