Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gob Bluthe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Sobral.
Sobral stuffs the takedown.
Bluthe misses with a double jab
and Sobral counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bluthe is defended easily by Sobral.
Bluthe throws a nice looking combination but Sobral bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bluthe lands a really nice looking cross but Sobral seems unphased.
Sobral slaps away a takedown attempt from Bluthe, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Sobral lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sobral is on top in guard.

Bluthe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sobral can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sobral looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bluthe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sobral defends it easily.

Bluthe isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sobral stacks Bluthe on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sobral!

That was a close round but I would say that Gob Bluthe will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sobral is working to tighten is grip on Bluthe's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bluthe has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sobral is really squeezing tight and eventually Bluthe passes out! Sobral breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
