Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Shane Carwin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Carwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Bader!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bader fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carwin avoids it really well and circles away.
Bader throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Carwin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice takedown defense from Carwin. No joy for Bader on that attempt.
Bader fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shane Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Bader.
Bader throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Carwin counters by clinching up.

Carwin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bader shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Carwin counters with a right hand that sends Bader tumbling to the canvas! Can Carwin finish him? He dives into Bader's guard looking to do just that!

Bader is rocked!

It looks like Ryan Bader has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bader is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carwin is controlling him.
Bader avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Carwin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bader's head.
Bader has Carwin pulled in close to control his posture.
Carwin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bader swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bader looking for a sweep. Not yet Bader, not yet.
Bader is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Carwin postures up in Bader's guard and throws a big left but Bader blocks it.
Bader is adopting a defensive guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryan Bader was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bader lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bader.
Bader changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carwin tries to avoid it but Bader manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carwin to the ground. Carwin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bader looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bader looks gassed!
Carwin throws a jab but it's blocked by Bader.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bader tries to land a front kick but Carwin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bader shoots in for a takedown but Carwin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Carwin wants to clinch up but Bader keeps it at a distance.
Bader misses with a takedown attempt - Carwin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Carwin scores with a counter punch that sends Bader to the canvas! Carwin smells blood - he's punishing Bader with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Bader has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
