The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzroy dives in and grabs Rosario's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rosario pushes down on Fitzroy's head and hops out.

Rosario tries to keep at a distance but Fitzroy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rosario wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fitzroy has him pressed against the cage.
Rosario is trying to push Fitzroy away but Fitzroy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rosario is looking to control Fitzroy's arms but Fitzroy gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rosario has his back to the cage.
Rosario swings wildly with an uppercut but Fitzroy uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fitzroy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fitzroy tries to clinch but Rosario is having none of it.
Fitzroy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Fitzroy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Fitzroy clinches up with Rosario and pushes him back against the cage.

Fitzroy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fitzroy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rosario swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Fitzroy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rosario avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Rosario is trying to break the clinch but Fitzroy is controlling him.
Fitzroy stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Fitzroy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rosario.

Rosario misses with the head strike.
Fitzroy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rosario gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Fitzroy doesn't manage to clinch there - Rosario circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rosario fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fitzroy manages to avoid it.

Rosario lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fitzroy circles away quickly and effectively.
Fitzroy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Rosario feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fitzroy sprawling to the canvas! Fitzroy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rosario finish him?!

Fitzroy is rocked!
Fitzroy throws a leg kick that misses.
Oh Fitzroy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Rosario has cracked Fitzroy with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Rosario lands another huge swinging hook and Fitzroy tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Fitzroy, before Rosario can land any more shots!
