Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Pe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dusty Rhodes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Christian Pe!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pe blocks the body kick.
Rhodes takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rhodes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rhodes slips a straight right by Pe.
Rhodes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rhodes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rhodes on the side of the head.
A big right from Pe misses.
Pe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rhodes shoots in for a takedown but Pe shows good takedown defense.
Pe scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rhodes in his tracks.
Rhodes fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dusty Rhodes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rhodes.

Rhodes drives through with a takedown into Pe's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Rhodes is pushing down on Pe's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pe is fighting to maintain full guard but Rhodes has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rhodes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Pe blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rhodes.
Rhodes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rhodes throwing shots but Pe is blocking nicely.
Pe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rhodes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rhodes is working for a kimura but Pe is defending it quite comfortably.
Pe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Rhodes won't allow Pe to sweep him here.

Pe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rhodes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rhodes wants to control from the top but Pe keeps moving.
Rhodes connects with a couple of short punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rhodes pushing down on Pe's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Pe trying to hold on to Rhodes's head to control him but Rhodes postures up.
Pe is trying to stand back up but Rhodes is controlling him
Rhodes throwing shots but Pe is blocking nicely.

Rhodes content to control rather than advance.

Rhodes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pe blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rhodes.

Rhodes prevents Pe from improving his position.
Rhodes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Rhodes is working for a submission of some sort.
Rhodes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rhodes working the head and body with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dusty Rhodes dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Pe throws a big shot that misses.
Pe jabs at Rhodes's body.
Pe misses with the combination.
Christian Pe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rhodes gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Pe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rhodes circles away quickly and effectively.
Pe connects with a nice looking jab.
Christian Pe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rhodes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pe wants to get back to his feet but Rhodes is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rhodes stands up over Pe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Rhodes lands a couple of elbows.
Rhodes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Rhodes postures up in Pe's guard and throws a big left but Pe blocks it.
Rhodes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Rhodes landing some decent shots from guard.
Dusty Rhodes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pe is trying to control the position but Rhodes postures up.

Pe keeping moving, preventing Rhodes from controlling successfully.
Rhodes passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Rhodes trying to control the action but Pe is working from the bottom.
Rhodes looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pe is avoiding damage well.
Pe is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Rhodes is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pe takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Pe is breathing heavily.
Pe is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rhodes raining down hammerfists from mount.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pe is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rhodes loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Pe scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rhodes land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rhodes stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dusty Rhodes!
