Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis High (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombard tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Oooooh!!! Lombard has knocked High down with a huge combo! Lombard steps away and waves a wobbly High back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

High is rocked!

It looks like Travis High has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
High just misses with a punch to the body.
Oh High is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lombard throws a nice looking combination but High bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
High seems to have got his legs back now.

Lombard drops High with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but High looks back up at him and smiles so Lombard waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sloppy strikes from Lombard. Those never looked like landing.
High digs a good hook to Lombard's body.
Lombard throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Lombard misses the shot to the body.
High fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lombard manages to avoid it.
Lombard misses with the combination.
High showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lombard.
Lombard misses with a hook. High ducked under it nicely.
High takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
High avoids the head kick by Lombard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lombard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lombard looks gassed!
Lombard defending well as High loads up on a big left hand.
High misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
High blocks a jab.
High dodges the punch combination from Lombard.
High misses with a wild body shot.
Hector Lombard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lombard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lombard looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Hector Lombard has been cut.
Lombard throws a nice looking combination but High bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
High is looking to wear down Lombard with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Lombard throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and High makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice combination there by High.
High connects with a single shot there.

That has opened up Hector Lombard's cut even more.
High looks to score with a jab to the body but Lombard is just out of range.
High lands a body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lombard's hands are dropping dangerously low here and High connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lombard scrambles back to his feet.

High drops Lombard with a right and a left! High comes rushing in but Lombard regains his composure and manages to keep High in guard.

Lombard is rocked!

The cut above Hector Lombard's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
High passes Lombard's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lombard is still in real trouble! Can High finish him?
Lombard keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
High looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lombard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hector Lombard's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hector Lombard's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Travis High!
