Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Varz Defoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Defoe comes to the cage accompanied by Bodies. Fu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. SDJ-COMMANDOS kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Thomas Fu has been cut.
Varz Defoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fu stuffs the takedown.
Fu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Defoe.
Fu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Defoe throws a head kick that Fu semi-blocks.
Defoe connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Defoe lands a jab to the nose.
Decent striking displayed by Defoe there.
Fu thuds a left hand into Defoe's body.
Fu throws a leg kick
letting Defoe counter with a right hand.
Defoe motions for Fu to come forward. Defoe throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Defoe pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Defoe staying out of range there.
Fu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Defoe 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Defoe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Defoe somewhat.

Defoe shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fu is trying to defend but Defoe finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fu wants to get back to his feet.
Defoe frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fu avoids a series of strikes thrown by Defoe.

Defoe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fu's face.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Defoe sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Defoe goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Fu turns into him and now he's in Defoe's guard.
Fu wants to stand but Defoe has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Fu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Defoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Defoe is looking for a sweep. Fu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fu tries to stand and escape but Defoe is controlling the position.

Defoe is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Fu has his hands clasped together but Defoe extends an breaks Fu's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Defoe.
