The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vemola tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jenkins paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Vemola has closed the distance and engaged Jenkins in a clinch.

Vemola manages to pull guard.

Vemola manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A right-left combo lands from Jenkins.

It looks like Karlos Vemola has been cut.
No joy there for Jenkins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jenkins looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jenkins is trying to push Vemola away but Vemola has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Vemola keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jenkins's efforts to push away.

Jenkins wants to stand and escape but instead Vemola has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Jenkins is in a horrible position here. Vemola smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
