The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Takashii.
Takashii closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Zarif's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Takashii postures up in Zarif's guard and throws a big left but Zarif blocks it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Takashii's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Takashii loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Takashii throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zarif works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Takashii seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Takashii slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
