Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kimo Kanoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kanoa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tupac - Killuminati. Kimo Kanoa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida blocks a leg kick.
Kanoa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kanoa. Machida does a little dance to reset his feet.

Machida drives through with a takedown into Kanoa's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Machida trying to control but Kanoa is working from the bottom.
Machida content to stall in guard here.
Kanoa looking for a sweep. Not yet Kanoa, not yet.
Kanoa has Machida pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lyoto Machida was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kanoa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Machida.

Kanoa throws a right hand that Machida ducks under and follows up with a left that Machida also avoids with ease.
Kanoa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Machida lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Kanoa misses with a body shot.
Kimo Kanoa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Machida uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kanoa.
Kanoa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kanoa lands a jab to Machida's midsection.
Kanoa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Machida stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Machida shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Machida looks to land a combination. Kanoa sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kanoa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice uppercut lands for Machida. That snapped Kanoa's head back.
Kanoa is looking to wear down Machida with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Machida misses with an uppercut. Kanoa saw that one coming.
Machida connects with a jab.
Machida shoots in for a takedown but Kanoa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Machida fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kanoa.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kanoa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kanoa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Machida manages to avoid it.
Kanoa slips a jab and a cross from Machida.
Kanoa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kanoa duly obliges.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Machida.
Kimo Kanoa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyoto Machida.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kanoa, as that shot connected.
Kanoa jabs Machida right on the nose. Machida blinks but takes it well.

Machida is rocked!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Kanoa moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Machida! Kanoa continues to tee off on Machida, landing with a left and a right! Kanoa connects with a right hand that leaves Machida sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Kanoa!
