PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mahmoud Denjat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urpo Muilu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Denjat comes to the cage accompanied by U.S.A. National Anthem. Muilu has chosen he's going the distance as his entrance music. Mahmoud Denjat is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mahmoud Denjat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Urpo Muilu!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Muilu throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Muilu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Denjat looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Denjat throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Denjat throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Denjat gets caught flat footed, as Muilu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Muilu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Muilu throws a big elbow that misses.
Denjat looking to hit a scissor sweep but Muilu is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Denjat is trying to control the position but Muilu postures up.
Muilu looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Denjat is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Denjat keeping moving, preventing Muilu from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Urpo Muilu.
Denjat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Denjat.
Muilu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Denjat has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Denjat fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Muilu sprawls well initially but Denjat persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Denjat passes the guard and advances to mount!
Denjat trying to control but Muilu is having none of it.
Muilu working to try and regain half guard.
Denjat landing strikes, looking to finish!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Muilu is wriggling around trying to escape.
Denjat lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

It looks like Urpo Muilu has been cut.
Muilu is trying to escape the mount.
Denjat trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Denjat landing strikes from the mount.

That has opened up Urpo Muilu's cut even more.
Denjat prevents Muilu from getting the reversal.
Muilu in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

The cut above Urpo Muilu's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Urpo Muilu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mahmoud Denjat!
