Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akio Isamu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isamu has chosen Superstar - Saliva as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott shoots in for a takedown but Isamu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Isamu lands the left hand.
Isamu is looking to clinch but Scott is avoiding it.
Isamu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Isamu connects with an inside leg kick.
Isamu wants to clinch up but Scott keeps it at a distance.
Scott fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Isamu takes the fight into the clinch.

Isamu drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Scott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Scott has gone for a leg lock! Isamu slips out almost immediately though and dives into Scott's guard.

Scott is looking to regain half guard here but Isamu keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee asks Isamu politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Isamu prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Scott is trying to buck Isamu off.

Isamu decides to stand back up. Isamu steps back and let's Scott get back to his feet.

Isamu tries to clinch up.
Scott drops his hands momentarily and Isamu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Isamu wants to clinch up but Scott keeps it at a distance.
Isamu feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Scotts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Isamu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Isamu closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Scott's guard.

Scott escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Isamu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Isamu has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Scott is proving hard to escape from.
Isamu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Isamu not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Scott has his foot on Isamu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Isamu works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Akio Isamu wasn't active enough on the ground.
Scott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Isamu avoids it really well and circles away.
Scott walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Akio Isamu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Isamu has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Scott uses from the top position.

Scott postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Isamu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Scott, into his guard.

Isamu lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Well Isamu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
