Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaac Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephan Walter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Isaac Newton!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walter is fending him off so far but Newton persists. Nope, Walter circles away and we're back to standing.
Newton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Walter.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Walter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Newton has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Stephan Walter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaac Newton.
Walter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Walter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Walter thows a body shot but no joy.
Newton moves in looking to clinch but Walter pushes him off.

Walter throws a lazy right hand but Newton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Newton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Walter tries to avoid it but Newton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Walter to the ground. Walter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Stephan Walter will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
